To ensure transparency, we work with the following commission structures: fixed fee, fixed commission rate, or a percentage of the amount you borrow. Karen Hunter

Karen joined GDP Funding in 2012 from Nat West Bank where she started her career. She has a wealth of experience in retail and commercial banking through customer facing roles within branches and resolving complex banking complaints.

Since joining GDP her knowledge of the loan completion process including complex ownership and trust structures, lender regulation and anti money laundering requirements has proved invaluable in ensuring deliverability of loans within the required timescales.

Karen is also responsible for ensuring GDP Funding meets its regulatory and lender broker requirements.

Sarah Hunter

Over the last 17 years Sarah has amassed a breadth of experience from commercial and residential property lending at Allied Irish Bank to syndicated PLC transactions during her time at Barclays.

Over the last 11 years at Handelsbanken Sarah has worked as a Corporate Manager, in the credit team and more latterly Branch Manager of South Manchester branches (Wilmslow and Stockport). Sarah has used this experience to support both commercial and residential property transactions, trading businesses expand, refinances, restructures, strategic acquisitions and property disposals all the while building relationships across the property community in Greater Manchester and Cheshire.

Gareth Rees

Gareth started in the commercial property industry as a surveyor in London in the late 1980s with Montagu Evans and St Quintin ( CBRE). He moved to Manchester in 1997 and went on to head the CBRE North West valuation teams.

In 2007 he set up GDP Funding with Paul and since then has been supporting clients in arranging finance for new purchases, refinances and debt restructure. In that time the deal sizes have ranged from £250,000 to £250 million and with over 50 different lenders. Long term relationships are important to Gareth and regardless of deal size there will always be a personal approach throughout the transaction and beyond.
